Gastroenterologist Hospitalist (Tacoma, WA)

Franciscan Digestive Care Associates, part of The Center for Digestive Health at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, is recruiting BC/BE general gastroenterologists to practice in Tacoma and affiliated metro area hospitals. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a collegial, multidisciplinary care environment with superb support staff. Our ideal candidate will be an exceptional clinician with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork. Work includes a mix of outpatient and inpatient with shared call responsibilities.

The Center for Digestive Health in the great Puget Sound region is a destination program for the care of patients with digestive health concerns. Over 80 clinicians in gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery provide over 76,000 clinic visits, 55,000 endoscopic procedures and 9,000 surgeries annually across Virginia Mason Franciscan Health locations. The center is founded on providing the best possible clinical outcomes to the patients it serves with additional focus on innovation through research as well as training the next generation of experts and leaders in the field. Infrastructure includes a clinical research and analytics team, in addition to academic support.

Great work life balance with a 4 -10 hour day schedule option with weekend call only 4-5 times per year and 1-2 nights per month.

Also, we have a Gastroenterologist Hospitalist opening in Tacoma with one week on and one week off. 7a to 5p on weekdays with one night of call. On weekends, Friday 5p - to Monday 7a. Weekdays - cover 2 hospitals and weekends cover 1 to 2 hospitals. APP support on weekdays.

Therapeutic Endoscopist (Lakewood): Four day work week with three and one half scopes and one half clinic day from 7a - 5p.
Procedures - EUS, ERCP, EMR and add on inpatients. 2 weeknight calls per month and 6 weekends a year. Would need advanced Endoscopy Training.

Candidate Qualifications:

• BC/BE in Gastroenterology
• Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA.
• Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice
