Gastroenterology - Physician | Educator in Charlotte, NC

Atrium Health Center for Digestive Health is actively seeking a full-time academic Gastroenterologist to join an established practice in Charlotte, NC.

Candidate Profile:

• MD or DO and board certification in Gastroenterology required.
• Prior clinical educator experience at an academic medical center required, 3+ years preferred.
• Prior or active involvement in research and scholarship preferred.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills

The new Gastroenterology Clinician-Educator (Assistant Professor or Associate Professor rank) will:

• Enhance patient care and teaching missions
• Experience excellent clinical and educational programs related to general gastroenterology, advanced endoscopy, pancreatobiliary diseases, motility disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, and liver disease and transplantation
• Rotate on the inpatient GI consultation teaching service and inpatient endoscopy services performed at Carolinas Medical Center monthly
• Participate in outpatient GI consultation and endoscopy services delivered at Carolinas Medical Center, affiliated ambulatory surgery centers, and the GI Fellows Clinic
• Opportunities for teaching Gastroenterology Fellows in diverse clinical settings and mentoring them in clinical research and other scholarly pursuits
