Atrium Health Center for Digestive Health seeks an outstanding academic Gastroenterologist to join our nationally-recognized team in the booming Charlotte metro area. This role is located at the Atrium Health Wake Forest University School of Medicine at Carolinas Medical Center, located in the heart of Charlotte, NC. This is a unique opportunity to combine innovative clinical practice with teaching the next generation of GI providers.
As a GI Clinician-Educator at our state-of-the-art medical campus, you will:
- Provide exceptional inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology care while training fellows in diverse settings
- Mentor fellows in pioneering clinical research and quality improvement initiatives
- Educate medical students and residents, shaping the future of gastroenterology
- Leverage expertise in advanced endoscopy, IBD, motility disorders, pancreaticobiliary diseases and more
The ideal candidate will bring prior academic medical center experience, a passion for education, exceptional communication abilities, and an active scholarship record.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO and board certification in Gastroenterology
- Prior clinical educator experience at an academic medical center required, 3+ years preferred
- Prior or active involvement in research and scholarship preferred
