The Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the Baltimore VA Medical Center (BVAMC) is recruiting an academic clinical gastroenterologist with expertise in the management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease. The successful applicant will provide clinical service at the University of Maryland Downtown and Midtown Campuses, as well as at the Baltimore VA Medical Center.  Expected faculty rank is Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status, and salary will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.  We offer competitive salary and benefits. 

This position requires a medical degree from a recognized accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent), a strong commitment to patient care and teaching, and the ability to work well in a team setting.  Successful candidates must possess superior clinical and advanced endoscopic skills and be BC/BE in Gastroenterology as well as eligible for medical licensure in the State of Maryland.  Qualified candidates must also be skilled in routine endoscopic procedures.  A record of clinical investigation is highly desirable.  In addition, because this position will be funded, in part, by the VA, applicants must be U.S. citizens.
